While on a business trip in Wisconsin in the Fall of 2001, the Partners experienced frozen custard for the first time. The smooth consistency combined with the delicious, rich flavor was like nothing they had ever tasted! The partners knew that Texans would love frozen custard, and they decided to develop their own flavor of custard and open a shop in Fort Worth, their home-town.

After attending a Frozen Custard School in Michigan in December 0f 2002, the Partners began diligently working on the development of their own custard recipe. After consulting with flavor and ice cream experts from across the country, the partners created a wonderfully rich and uniquely flavored custard formula. In the summer of 2002, Curly’s Frozen Custard opened for business, and immediately enjoyed rave reviews from what instantly become our loyal customers.
