The Curly’s StoryBourke Harvey was focused on business as he traveled to Wisconsin in the fall of 2001, when he partook of an experience that changed his life: he sampled his first frozen custard. He immediately appreciated that he had just enjoyed one of “the finer things of life”. So fine, in fact, that he knew Texans simmering in 100+ degree summer heat would literally melt over the concept. He immediately contacted his business partner and they decided to develop their own custom line of frozen custard flavors in their hometown of Fort Worth. Bourke attended and graduated from Frozen Custard School in Michigan that December, and then began diligently working with respected ice cream and custard confectioners to develop a unique custard recipe. The result was a delightfully rich and uniquely flavored custard formula.
